Parish Councillor

A parish councillor represents the interests of the local community and works to improve the quality of life in the village. They attend council meetings, listen to residents’ concerns, and help make decisions on local services, planning matters, and community projects. The role involves acting as a link between villagers and the local authority, supporting local initiatives, and helping to protect and promote the character of the parish.If you are passionate about making a positive difference in your local community and have time, skills and experience to offer, then we want to hear from you.

Parish Clerk

Where are we?  Between Bridport and Charmouth on the A35/

​

Who are we?  A vibrant and exciting village community with lots going on.

​

We need a Parish Clerk, for 30 hours a month.

​

Salary pay range: SCP18-23 Pro Rata.

​

Experience is desired but not essential - your development will be supported.

​

You would need the ability to take minutes and other tasks associated with supporting the parish council including being the financial responsible officer.  We are looking for someone who wishes to develop an interest in local government, or wishes to begin a career in administration.

​
